We are pleased to announce our very first Sports Tournament in partnership with Elevo! It is going to be a fun-filled day of friendly competition, teamwork, and memories for our PESD scholars. The tournament will be held at Clearwater Elementary and Innovative Horizons Charter School on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 8:00 AM. We're looking forward to seeing you there!

We had an inspiring day of learning on November 1 with over 250 of our Perris ESD staff members coming together for continued growth and ongoing collaboration. Our certificated and classified staff participated in a day dedicated to building a stronger, more supportive environment for ALL. Key highlights included, restorative practices training with RCOE, our well-being initiative and supports from our well-being team, student led conferences as we prepare for our November conferences, Zen Zones implementation and efficacy, and the purpose of and for assessments led by our education services team. Together, we are strengthening our district with tools, practices and supports that place our students and our staff well-being and growth at the forefront of everything we do. Dear Families and Staff of Sky View & Clearwater Elementary, At this time, Sky View and Clearwater elementary are not impacted by the Southern California Edison Public Safety Power Shut Offs (PSPS) and will remain open today, Thursday, November 7, 2024. This includes the ELEVO afterschool program and all after school programs regularly scheduled at these school sites. November 6, 2024 Dear PESD Families and Staff , Due to high winds and dangerous fire conditions we have anticipated a potential power shutdown by Southern California Edison today. As a precaution for our students and staff safety, we must cancel the after-school programs scheduled for today, Wednesday, November 6th at only Clearwater and SkyView. This includes both the ELEVO after-school program at SkyView and Clearwater Elementary schools and all additional after-school programs impacting these two school sites only. There is a high potential for the power to remain shutdown through tomorrow evening. We will share a follow up communication by 6:00 a.m. tomorrow morning notifying our PESD families and staff if both Clearwater and SkyView areas if school will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, November 7th. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff. Thank you for your flexibility and support. We're thrilled to announce our partnership with the City of Perris and our GROW Perris campaign. Together, we're building and bringing garden planter boxes to every school in our district. With the help of teachers, students (a big shout out to the Innovative Horizons students), principals, parents, District staff and family members, we're building these gardens to give our students hands-on experience in growing their own food, while learning about sustainable farming and the importance of taking care of our environment. This is more than just planting seeds, it's about cultivating knowledge, sharing responsibility, and growing a healthier future for our community together. At the Perris Elementary School District, our schools are vibrant spaces where students feel they belong and are eager to learn!
