Mariner Families,
We are excited to celebrate Black History Month with a special Spirit Week dedicated to honoring the history, achievements, culture, and contributions of Black leaders, innovators, artists, and change-makers. Please see the attached flyer for dress up days!
Throughout the month, students will engage in meaningful activities, classroom learning experiences, and fun spirit days that promote pride, reflection, and unity.
In addition to classroom learning, our students will participate in interactive activities supported by parent volunteers. To help us create engaging decorations and provide hands-on learning materials, we invite families who are interested and able to contribute to visit our Amazon Wish List. Items purchased will go directly toward student activities and campus displays that highlight Black history and culture.
Your support—whether through donations, volunteering, or simply encouraging your child to participate—helps make this celebration meaningful and memorable for our students.
Thank you for partnering with us as we honor Black History Month together!
Warmly,
IHCS Admin
