IHCS Families,
Please be aware that our Career Day is scheduled for today, November 12th, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Part of this event is vehicle-based, allowing students to explore various career-related vehicles and learn how they are used in different professions. These vehicles (including a firetruck, ambulance, and/or police car) will be parked in front of our school.
Due to this, the front drop-off/pick-up lane in our parking lot will be closed from 8:30 AM to 12:15 PM. If your student arrives late or needs to be picked up during this time, please note that the lane will be closed to through traffic. Please use the parking lot if you need to visit the front office.
Thank you for your cooperation in making this event a great learning experience for our students!

Mariner Family, After school today you may have noticed emergency vehicles near the intersection of Nuevo Road and A Street. One of our students crossed the street alone in a residential area without using the crosswalk and was struck by a vehicle. Thankfully, the student was not seriously injured and was able to go home safely with his mother after being checked. We called 911 immediately for assistance, and the situation was handled with care. We want to take this opportunity to remind all families to please speak with your children about always using designated crosswalks and following safety rules when walking near traffic. Student safety remains our top priority. With appreciation, Mr. Candelaria, Principal.

Have you filled out the Alternate Income Form?
What is it?
The California Department of Education provides funding to school districts through the Local Control Funding Formula. This formula provides a per-pupil funding amount based on the average daily attendance of students. Additional funding is also allocated based on the number of English learners, foster youth, and/or socio-economically disadvantaged in our district.
To ensure your child’s school receives the appropriate funding to meet the needs of the student population, we strongly encourage every household to complete the Alternate Income Form. The Alternative Income Form has replaced the previous meal application form. The information provided on the form is a confidential record.
How?
