Good Afternoon, Today at YEA, all students and staff practiced a Lockdown Drill. Practicing for events that would require us to initiate an actual lockdown in advance enables our students to feel safe and secure by knowing what to do and expect in situations like these. Please know that safety is our number one priority and we practice different safety drills each month. This was our first time practicing a lockdown drill so your students may come home and talk about it this afternoon. All students and staff did a great job! Just A Reminder... Our CUBS event begins at 1:45 and gates will open near the office at approximately 1:40. We do ask that CUBS guests remain in their classrooms until the end of the school day. This formula provides a per-pupil funding amount based on the average daily attendance of students. Additional funding is also allocated based on the number of English learners, foster youth, and/or socio-economically disadvantaged in our district. To ensure your child’s school receives the appropriate funding to meet the needs of the student population, we strongly encourage every household to complete the Alternate Income Form. Join us for our frst CUBS (Connecting Us With Books and Songs) Event where families are welcomed into their child's classrooms for reading time and a brief presentation of what they've been learning about in their experience based classroom.
