Schools Closed September 11, 2024
Due to the current air quality conditions resulting from the nearby Airport and Lion Fires, all schools in Perris Elementary School District will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, September 11, 2024. This also includes the cancellation of our ALL After School Programs tomorrow, Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
This decision is made out of an abundance of caution for the safety and well-being of our students, staff, community and first responders. We understand the impact this may have on our families and want to assure you that we will keep you informed as the situation develops. Our primary focus is the safety of our school communities. We will use Thrillshare/website (perrisesd.org) as our primary means of communication for updates. Please monitor your messages closely and ensure that your contact information in Thrillshare is up to date.

September is Attendance Awareness Month! Regular daily attendance is vital for your student's success. For every day missed it takes two days for a student to make up the missed work. During the month of September we will have weekly drawings to support student attendance. Students that attend daily will also have a chance to win a SUPER VIP recess for themself and THREE friends. These students will have the whole playground to themselves! Please continue to promote daily attendance to support your student's academic success! Please see the attached flyer for more information about our attendance incentives at Skyview!
NO School on Monday, September 2nd in observance of Labor Day. Have a great 3 day weekend.

Drop off and pick up Reminders:
As a reminder, during pick up and drop off, we ask that you remain in your vehicle and display your dash pass. This will help the flow of traffic.
All students are dropped off at Gate 4.
For Pickup:
1st and 2nd grade students exit out of gate 4 and grades 3-6 exit out of gates 2 and 3 but all are picked up at the 2nd crosswalk.
Please do not call students to run up to your car for pick up. We ask that you pull forward to the 2nd crosswalk.
TK and K students exit out of gate 1.
For students with older siblings, please remind the older sibling to join the younger sibling; those students will be picked up at the younger siblings gate.
Lastly, when exiting either loop, make a right turn only.
We ask for everyone to be patient during drop off and pick up so that our students, families, and staff are safe among all the car traffic.

Thank you Skyview Elementary Students, Families, and Staff! We had an AWESOME 1st day of school. Our students were greeted by our amazing staff and we rolled out the red carpet for our TK-6th grade students.
