Please see the attached message from IHCS Admin:
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Innovative Horizon Charter School Families,
During school today, misinformation was being shared between many upper grade students of a potential threat of harm. Campus administration was able to quickly respond and thoroughly investigate the incident.
Through the investigation it was determined that there is no potential of harm to any students or staff. The base of the incident stemmed from a conversation that was overheard by students. Information was taken out of context regarding a student's Halloween costume of a popular comic book character, and actions the character is known for. Out of abundance of caution law enforcement was involved and all safety protocols were followed to ensure there is no intent or access to harm any individuals.
Please take a moment to speak to your child about any comments they may have heard or shared with friends at school today. Should you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact campus administration.
Thank you,
