Alternate Income Form - Please complete this ASAP! Link Provided
Dear Parents/Guardians,
The California Department of Education provides funding to school districts through the Local Control Funding Formula. This formula provides a per-pupil funding amount based on the average daily attendance of students. Additional funding is also allocated based on the number of English learners, foster youth, and/or socio-economically disadvantaged in our district.
To ensure your child’s school receives the appropriate funding to meet the needs of the student population, we strongly encourage every household to complete the Alternate Income Form. The Alternative Income Form has replaced the previous meal application form. The information provided on the form is a confidential record.

Hello Young Explorer Families and Friends,
I hope you’re all safe and well.
I’m writing to inform you that we will be reopening today, Thursday, September 12th with an abundance of caution, prioritizing the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community.
Given the current conditions, we will be implementing our inclement weather schedules and ensuring indoor spaces are available for recess and lunch breaks. We will be mindful of students who may be particularly sensitive to the current conditions.
We understand that some of our families may choose to keep their children home due to health concerns. Please do what you feel is best. Any missed school for medical reasons will be marked as an excused absence.
Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need any support. Thank you for your commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of your TK student.
Respectfully,
~Mrs. Howe
