Dear Families,

On behalf of the entire team at the Young Explorers TK Academy I wanted to wish you a heartfelt welcome to the start of the 2026/2027 school year! I hope this letter finds you and your loved ones in good health and high spirits as we begin an exciting journey of exploration, learning, growth, and community building. 

As the proud principal of the Young Explorers TK Academy, I feel honored to be part of your child's learning journey. Our dedicated staff, passionate teachers, and enthusiastic students will make this school an extraordinary place to learn and thrive, I am sure of it. Together, we will create an environment that fosters academic excellence, character development, and a deep background knowledge of our thematic learning experiences. 

This year, we are committed to building upon our previous success with PESD's one of a kind TK program. We have been diligently preparing for this school year, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, and enhancing our curriculum to meet the evolving needs of our students and our unique approach to early education. Our mission at YEA is to improve school readiness for our students using interactive, hands-on, experience based learning. We will accomplish this by following our vision: Our TK Program is dedicated to shaping the future leaders, thinkers, and changemakers of tomorrow. 

At the Young Explorers TK Academy, we strongly believe in the power of collaboration between school and home! We value your partnership and are dedicated to maintaining open lines of communication throughout the year. We encourage you to actively participate in your child's education, attend school events, join our school team meetings, and engage in meaningful conversations with our teachers and office personnel. Together, we will create a supportive network that nurtures each student's development. 

To facilitate effective communication, we will continue to utilize our school and district website, weekly newsletters, and social media platforms to share important updates, upcoming events, and educational resources. If you need any assistance downloading our district app, please stop by the front office for assistance. We strongly encourage you to stay connected. 

On behalf of the entire staff, I want to express our gratitude to you for entrusting us with your child's education. We cherish the opportunity to make a positive impact on their lives and we are committed to providing an inclusive and engaging learning experience. I look forward to personally welcoming each and every one of you at our Back-To-School Night event on August 12th at 5:30PM, where we will have the chance to connect and address any questions or concerns you may have.
