Perris Elementary School District takes pride in providing a comprehensive employee benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits.
Employee benefit enrollment/ changes are processed through our online benefits portal, BenefitBridge (Instructions to download the BenefitBridge App)
Open Enrollment
Open Enrollment is held each Spring, with all benefit changes taking effect as of July 1st.

Employee Contributions
PESD Contributes up to $13,000 annually (prorated for less than 6-8 hour employees) towards the cost of an employee's benefit package (medical, dental and vision). If the cost of selected benefits exceeds the district contribution, employees will pay the difference in the form of a monthly payroll deduction. Contribution sheets listed below reflect the employee contribution amount after the district contribution.

Qualifying Life Events
Employees are required to notify Risk Management within 30 days of any qualifying life event. Qualifying events may include marriage or divorce, birth or adoption, death, non-voluntary loss of other coverage.

Mental Health Services
PESD staff who are enrolled in group medical plans have a number of resources available for mental health services. Please see below flyers for Anthem, Kaiser and Talkspace with information on services and how to access care.
Talkspace - Text, voice & video mental health - Available to both Anthem and Kaiser members enrolled in a PESD group medical plan- Services will no longer be available effective July 1, 2023.

Alternative Access to Care
If you have a minor health condition such as cold or flu symptoms, allergies or fever, you may now schedule an appointment with a medical provider over the phone (Kaiser), online (Anthem) or visit one of the Target Clinics (Kaiser). The alternative care providers can often make a diagnosis and prescribe medications as needed, without having to visit your primary care physician office. Anthem Live Health Online - Anthem PPO members subject to the office visit co-pay. Non Anthem members may also use this service for a fee.
Kaiser Telephone Appointments - Service provided to Kaiser members for $0 co-pay.
Kaiser Nurse Advice Line - Available 24/7, speak to a registered nurse to help assess medical problems and provide advice over the phone, when medically appropriate.
Target Clinics - Kaiser members may visit Target clinics without an appointment to receive non-urgent services. Non Kaiser members may also access this service for a fee. Click here for a list of clinic locations. Click here for a list of covered services.
Please note that telephone/online/ clinic appointments are not appropriate for medical emergency situations. If you need emergency treatment, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency treatment facility.
